As we’re entering a new year, it’s always a good time to reflect on the year past and set goals for the year ahead. I watched many of my fave Youtuber’s videos that reflected on the goals they had set at the start of 2016, and then made new goals for 2017. This really inspired me to sit down and have a think about what I would like to achieve this year as an influencer and personally.

And welcome to 2017! I’m a bit late, but I have had some time off blogging over Christmas and New Year so I could have a bit more time to spend with family and friends. Now i’m officially on holidays for 3 weeks (yay!) until I start my new full time job at the end of January, so lots of time to get organised and catch up with the blogging world! I thought I would make my first post of the new year dedicated to my favourite and most used products from 2016! It will be good to be able to look back at this at the end of the year and see how much has or hasn’t changed! So lets get straight into it..

For me, 2016 was the year of the eyeshadow palettes. This year I was sucked into purchasing so many palettes, mostly of similar colour scheme (of course, damn those warm neutrals & beautiful red tones). Brands were killing it with all the new releases, so much so that I was practically forced into wearing eyeshadow on a daily basis just to get the use out of all my new purchases! I’m not complaining though.. my eyeshadow skills have really improved!

Last week, I arrived home to a very aesthetically pleasing package. It was from Peony Parcel* – a new subscription box featuring beauty and lifestyle products from up and coming Australian brands. I know there are many beauty based subscription boxes around at the moment, but if you are interested in a brand/team that provides awesome products but also gives back to the community, you need to check them out. To find out more about Peony Parcel* and this months edition, continue reading!

As soon as I heard that Kylie Jenner was teaming up with her sister, Khloe Kardashian, for her cosmetics companies first ever collab – I knew that I would need whatever products were launching asap. Luckily for me this collab involved lip products – my favourite.
