As soon as I heard that Kylie Jenner was teaming up with her sister, Khloe Kardashian, for her cosmetics companies first ever collab – I knew that I would need whatever products were launching asap. Luckily for me this collab involved lip products – my favourite.
By some miracle, I managed to take my morning tea break on placement at 9:58am – Just in time for the big launch of the Koko Kollection by Kylie Cosmetics at 10:00am. Honestly, I had pretty much convinced myself that I would be unlucky seeing as the hype around the collaboration with Khloe was huge, but to my surprise I had checked out my cart and paid all in under 2 minutes! I am so grateful that the internet was on my side, as the beautiful rose gold packaged collection is unfortunately a limited edition.
The Koko Kollection consists of 3 liquid matte lipsticks and a gloss, all packaged in a stunning rose gold reflective tube. This is by far my favourite packaging that I have seen Kylie come up with so far! I mean rose gold, you can’t go wrong with that! The 3 matte shades include a neutral named ‘Khlo$’ pronounced Khlo Money (Guilty, I watch too much Kardashians..), a vibrant pink named ‘Okurrrr’ and a deep burgundy named ‘Gorg’. The gloss, named ‘Damn Gina’, is a gorgeous light nude-y pink with pink glitter reflects throughout, and it is by far my favourite out of the collection!!
Immediately after swatching – L-R: Gorg | Okurrr | Khlo$ | Damn Gina
Dried down swatches – L-R: Gorg | Okurrr | Khlo$ | Damn Gina
The Koko Kollection has the same formula as the original Kylie liquid mattes and glosses. The mattes all dry down extremely matte like the originals, and have amazing staying power. They are consistent in the fact that the darker shade ‘Gorg’ applies a tad patchy, similar too the other dark shades ‘Leo’ and ‘Kourt K’ from her original collection. They all have that amazing vanilla scent that is signature of a Kylie product! The gloss is consistent with the other glosses from the range that I own, with a non-sticky feel and amazing colour pay off!
Overall, I was very impressed with the collection. The packaging is to die for, the shades are all up my alley and the shipping was super fast (1 week) compared to previous orders I have made with them.
Let me know in the comments below if you managed to get your hands on this collection and what dp you think of it?! If you haven’t got it, what is your favourite shade?
